Thermal Imaging Inspections
Using FLIR cameras and interchangeable optics, NCRI can find "hot spots" after a fire, or detect roof leaks and other sources of moisture. Lightweight and rugged enough to be used in the field, these sophisticated cameras instantly capture and record high-resolution thermographic images and full-motion infrared video.
Dry Ice Blasting
To traditional surface cleaning methods such as chemical cleaning, water blasting, sandblasting, soda, and steam cleaning, NCRI has added the innovative process of dry ice blasting. The process uses small, rice-sized particles of dry ice, forced by compressed air at high velocity onto the surface to be cleaned. Upon impact, the dry ice converts into a harmless gas (CO2), which also serves as a disinfectant. By controlling the pressure and pellet size, the process can be used safely and effectively on surfaces as expansive as building exteriors or as fragile as electronic components. Unlike other processes that can leave a residue or prompt environmental concerns, dry ice disintegrates upon impact, eliminating worries about secondary waste or further contaminants. The material being removed usually turns to a light dust which is easily vacuumed.
Shrinkwrap Property Protection
In addition to offering board-up and tarping to cover a structure's exposed areas, NCRI specializes in the novel application of shrinkwrap property protection. This virgin vinyl material shrinks when heated, conforming to whatever structure or object is beneath it, and forming a thick, taught vapor barrier. Lighter than plywood and easier to apply than conventional tarpaulins, shrinkwrap also holds up to the elements and does not degrade.
